Nze Hon. Meekam K. Mgbenwelu has an extensive work experience that broadens into several Sub-Saharan African countries – Ghana, Benin Republic, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

He has served under the European Union (EU) as a reform expert to re-engineer a major revenue agency of the Government of Botswana.During his stretch at the Microsoft Corporation in Nigeria, Meekam led the Marketing and Intellectual Property Compliance Team.

Hon. Meekam K Mgbenwelu is currently the Commissioner for Technology Development, Imo State.He is a member of several professional associations including the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Nigerian Association of Evaluators.
